The Animals
I moved to Scotland in May 2019 with my dog, Dali, the Dalmatian. Since being here I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to become a forever home to lots more animals such as more dogs (either Dalmatians or Dalmatian crosses), cats, horses, Shetlands, sheep, goats, chickens and ducks. The majority of the animals here are rescues whose care has now been entrusted to me or, in the case of the sheep and goats, they were either rejected by their mums, a triplet or an orphan that came to me needing bottle feeding and will live out their days being part of my pet flock. Guests have been instrumental in helping the animals with their rehabilitation showing them that not all humans are like their previous experiences. I welcome guests to meet the animals and get cuddles from some incredibly friendly and loving animals.
Beautiful East Ayrshire
Meikle Westland Farm is located very near to Galloway Forest Park, the first park in the UK awarded the Dark Sky Status. Star gazing/watching from the farm/hot tub is amazing in the countryside as there is zero light pollution.
There is so much beautiful countryside in East Ayrshire to explore, gorgeous local country walks and just 30min drive to Ayr beach.
There are also lots of historical places to visit such as Drumlanrig Castle, Culzean Castle, Dumfries House, Crawick Multiverse etc as well as loads more to do in the area.
I have a House Lamb!

Keats to be a Therapy Sheep!!
This boy is just super cute and super friendly!! Out of all the lambs born Keats is always the first one running up for a head rub and a cuddle. He, surprisingly, doesn’t care too much about food, he just wants cuddles and a catch up. I say surprisingly because this is, after all, Indie’s…
The Nithsdale Valais Blacknose Flock start Lambing!
It’s an amazing time to visit us on the farm as we are in our first year of Valais Lambing. The Valais Blacknose Sheep are quite a rare breed over here so I have worked hard and researched on getting some of the best lines into my flock in order to preserve the original Swiss…
New Baby Goatie Arrivals!!
As the last year’s bottle fed goaties, Jive, Hip-Hop, Samba and Lindy-Hop were such a huge hit with guests ( and myself!!) I decided to do it again this year so went back to the goat farm where all the other goats were from. All these goaties were either from a triplet or quad so…
