The lodge is fully equipped for all your self catering needs with a kitchen kitted out with everything you should need including oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, airfryer, dishwasher, toaster, air fryer and kettle. On arrival you will be welcomed with complimentary tea and coffee as well as some colourful fresh farm chicken eggs from the farm's ladies (Seasonal Availability). The open plan living area has a wall mounted flat-screen TV and DVD player. Down the hall towards the three double bedrooms there are two bathrooms, one with a bath for that long bubbly soak (complete with some Scottish rubber duckies to keep you company!) and one with a shower that can be made into an ensuite to the main bedroom.

The West facing terrace with garden furniture is perfect for sitting around and watching the busy bird life, farm animals and stunning sunsets across the fields from. Around 40 species of birds have been recorded as living on or around the farmland so it is a perfect vantage point to spotting them whilst relaxing on the terrace. There is a firepit/BBQ that you are welcome to use, how about toasting some marshmallows under the stars? There may even be some cheeky animals in the fields right next to the lodge who will entertain you as you relax! (Please note the animals may not always be in these fields as the land needs resting during certain seasons).

Once evening arrives, why not watch the clear skies at night? Being only 20mins from the Galloway Forest Park the starry skies are incredible to lie back and gaze up in wonder at on clear nights. There's also plenty to do indoors with the smart tv, dvd player, 4g wifi, board games and books to keep you entertained.

Walks can be taken straight from the door through the yard, seeing some of the animals on your way, down to the the farm's own section of the beautiful river Nith. Why not make up a picnic and take the picnic blanket provided down with you to relax by the river? Fishing is available (During open season and upon request) and the river is teeming with Salmon, Trout and Pike. The farmland is full of wildlife, incl birds of prey (can you spot Bob, the resident Buzzard!), Grey herons, Roe deer, Kingfishers and otters. A haven for bird watchers and photographers or those who just love animals & peace!

If you'd like to get more involved with the farm you are welcome to let Cat know and she can organise a Farm Tour (£30) where you can come around the farm with her getting a more personal introduction to the animals as well as being able to give them allowed treats and getting selfies with them. Bottle feeding some of the young ones during certain seasons is also available. There is always plenty to do! Please be aware if you are only staying for 2 nights experiences may not be available due to workload on the farm.
